What is the difference between a browlift and mini browlift? I have quite a bit of sagging of my upper eyelids, however, it seems that through a browlift, there are multiple benefits rather than the one achieved with blepharoplasty, ie: smoothing of frownlines & brow furrows. Only thing is that the browlift alone does not seem to address the crepiness of the skin on the upper lids. I realize that you guys sometimes do them simulaniously, but I'm concerned with looking "overdone".

Hi Vicki-

We do treat PWS. We have 2 different lasers that can be effective. We would recommend a test spot with each laser first, then treat the PWS with the one that had the best effect.

Please feel free to call us to set up a consultation at 314-991-5438 so we can tell you in person what degree of clearance we would expect.

Hello, Cindi-

We offer both spider vein treatments. Both work, but both take multiple (2-4) sessions, and yield imperfect results.

I would recommend that if injection has been unsuccessful, that you try laser next. Cost is generally $150-200/session.

Do you treat spider veins in legs? If you do, do you inject them or use a laser? I have had injections a couple different times, and it's drawn out in too many visits and also many are missed.
Thank you, I look forward to hearing back from you,

Hello and thank you for your question.

When patients live within driving distance, I'd recommend staying overnight for the first night after surgery. I will remove your dressing and perform a checkup on the morning after surgery; you may return home at that point until your one week checkup.

For patients that fly in for surgery, I require that they stay in St. Louis for 7 days after surgery.

Dr. Nayak on "How long does mini-facelift last?"

Hello!

Mini facelifts can last for years. Durability depends on a few issues:

First, if a "mini" type lift is inadequate for the person being treated, results will be poor and short-lived. Most mini facelift "failures" are due to poor patient selection.

Second, there is no clear definition of when a "mini" lift transitions into a "full" lift. Some doctors' "mini" lifts are more complete or involve than other doctors' "full" lifts. As a general rule, the more thorough the lift, the longer it lasts.

Finally, as with any "art project", the durability of the finished product depends on the quality of the "raw matierals." That is, people with excellent, young, elastic skin will have more durable results than those with thin, loose, skin.

Sorry for the long answer, but it is a deceptively complicated question! For good candidates, I'd say durability should be in the 5-7 years range.

Please let us know, by phone or email or the contact form to the right, if you'd like a consultation.

Hi Mom-

Otoplasty is a very gratifying procedure. The technique I choose depends on exactly what needs to be done in a given person's ear; it often varies between the two sides! Mustarde sutures plus conchal excisions and/or setbacks are the most common maneuvers.

If your son does well with procedures, we could accomplish it very well under local and light sedation. My in-office operating room is accredited for adults only, however, so I would take him to an ambulatory surgery center whether we chose local, sedation, or general.

Please feel free to use the "contact us" form to the right to send me email - I'll respond quicker that way.

I am also curious if you do the procedure in office under local, or if you recommend a general. I am looking into this for my 12 year old son. He handles procedures better than most adults. I'm also curious how long he would need to refrain from swimming after the procedure. Thanks.

I would like to come in soon for a consultation but wait until tax season (CPA) is over to do the procedure. April 15th. Is this a problem applying my consultation fee? If so I could wait for a later date.

If the brows themselves are in good position, but the eyelid tissues are saggy, I usually recommend an upper eyelid blepharoplasty - this is the most common situation - say 75%.

Sometimes, the brows are low, droopy, or "sad" looking - this is treated with a browlift, often together with upper eyelid surgery as well.

I hope that helps!

Hello!

The minilift is best for a patient with mild to moderate jowling (loosening of the jawline) but not much sagging under the chin.

A regular facelift, also known as a lower facelift, addresses both the jawline and sagging under chin.

A necklift is pretty much the same as a regular lower facelift, with more emphasis on sagging neck tissues.

A browlift addresses sagging eyebrow/forehead areas.

In general, the minifacelift is the least expensive, and the necklift is the most expensive.

Hi Zella-

I'm sorry for the delay - I was teaching a facelift course in Tulsa. We do charge a consultation fee - it is $100, but you may apply this towards anything we offer in the office, from sunscreen to makeup to Botox to surgery.

Best,

My husband and I are both in our mid-forties and would like to get a consultation for a mini facelift. Do you offer free consultations? Referred by Dr. Hold's office. Dr. Hold's did both upper and lower eyelids for me. Excellent Doctor we just love him. Jackie does the juvederm and botox for me and always does a great job. I figured if they referred you we couldn't go wrong.

Good News!

I am glad to report that Nayak Plastic Surgery has been recognized by Allergan, the maker of Botox Cosmetic, as one of the top providers of Botox Cosmetic in the nation! Nayak Plastic Surgery is one of only a small number of Botox Cosmetic providers in the nation qualify for Botox Cosmetic Platinum Provider status.

As a patient of my Platinum Provider Practice, you will automatically receive the free Botox Platinum Benefits card on your next Botox Cosmetic visit. Once you have your card, you will receive $25 off every subsequent Botox Cosmetic treatment, as our way of saying thank you for being a loyal client. It's like getting a little bit of Botox Cosmetic free with every treatment.

And, as always, I personally administer every Botox Cosmetic injection, and my per-unit cost remains less than the national and St. Louis averages.
